Let me come straight to my problem. I bought four 1000kv motors for my project. Now the labelling said each motor can give a thrust of about 900g .When i performed a bench test of the motor, i was surprised to see that it only gave a thrust of somewhat 550g with a 3S lipo( fully charged) , 4.5x10 props, and a 30amp esc. ( i cant even return the motors now)... So my question is that can the motors lift up my quadcopter in air and move, the total weight of my quad being somewhat 1.3kg..........IN NUTSHELL, Can four 1000kv motors with each having a thrust of 550g lift a total weight of 1.3 kg ................................ Theoritically it should, but i read somewhere that the thrust should be twice ( or even more ) as much as the total weight of the quad for it to hover, pitch etc...
